Our four-day itinerary for yachting enthusiasts is the perfect way to enjoy your trip along the Sea of Cortez from Cabo San Lucas to La Paz, Mexico.
Begin your journey in Cabo San Lucas. This popular resort city on the southern tip of Mexico’s Baja Peninsula is known for its beautiful sand beaches, water-based activities, numerous outdoor restaurants and bars. Dock at the bustling marina and spend the day shopping, visiting Cabo’s thriving arts and culture scene, and popular historic sites like the Arch of Cabo San Lucas. Here you can also book tours for activities like seasonal whale watching and parasailing to jet-skiing and jet blading.
Get up early on Day 2 and make the short journey to the world-class marina at San Jose Del Cabo. The quaint streets wind through the town to sites such as the Mission of San Jose del Cabo ”Añuití’. Along the way make stops at the Art District where you can find Mexican traditional art creations. The area boasts gold-sand beaches, marine wildlife, local farm-to-table cuisine celebrating the city’s laid-back, and beachy vibes.
From San Jose del Cabo, make another short sail to the luxury resort marina at Costa Palmas. Spend the day at the 250-slip marina and enjoy luxury shopping, Robert Trent Jones II golf course, world-class dining, beach bars, uncrowded beaches, kids club and luxury residences at the Four Seasons Resort. The area is a launching point for many popular activities, including diving and snorkeling at the nearby Cabo Pulmo National Marine Park.
For your final day of travel, cruise up to the Los Islotes to enjoy time snorkeling and swimming before heading toward the seaside town of La Paz. The area is perhaps the most famous and popular scuba dive site in the Sea of Cortez. The beautiful clear water offers excellent diving teeming with schools of very large fish. Once you’ve docked in the bustling city of La Paz, enjoy the city’s old-world charm and popular seafront Malecón promenade. The area features beaches, an international art scene, and uncrowded beaches.
