Go for a sunset beach walk
East Cape’s location, sitting at the southern tip of Baja’s peninsula, offers amazing sunsets. So, why not stroll along the beach and watch the sun sink below the horizon with your loved one? Which beach is best? Consider heading to Lover’s Beach, which sits near the iconic arch on Land’s End. The granite arch that marks the intersection of the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean is adjacent to the Lover’s Beach.
You can’t drive to it. You’ll need to board a water taxi or take a chartered boat to get there, but with a blanket and picnic basket of snacks, it’s the most coveted spot to watch the sun set.

The waters near the island are clear to 30 feet, making it a great place to snorkel with local marine life. If you’d rather cast a line, it’s a great spot for sport fishing too. Spend time exploring the 18-mile island, eat your meals onboard the yacht, sleep at anchor, and glide back to Costa Palmas in the morning.

Hike to a waterfall
If you’re up for a “date day” rather than night, consider hiking to a nearby waterfall. Leaving from Four Seasons Resort, you and your partner will travel 45 minutes by van before trekking to the secluded Santiago Waterfall; a 40-foot waterfall inside the Cañon de la Zorra in the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains.
After snapping some pictures, head into the pooling water below for a swim. Spend some time wading in the beautiful waters that are flanked by tall, tan cliffs and boulders.
You’ll leave from the resort in the morning. Plan to spend about four hours on the trip, which includes the ride up and back, which is about 1.5 hours.
