This past week, Costa Palmas demonstrated its commitment to community engagement through a series of events in Napa Valley, aligning with the mission of the Impact Through Golf Foundation Napa Valley (ITG). As a charitable organization with members of Costa Palmas on its board of directors, ITGF serves as the host for the annual PGA TOUR tournament in Napa. Costa Palmas is dedicated to leveraging the sport of golf for meaningful philanthropic impact.
On Tuesday, September 10th, Costa Palmas hosted an exclusive dinner at the renowned French Laundry, led by celebrated chef Thomas Keller. The evening brought together Costa Palmas members, friends, and prominent PGA Tour players, including last year’s champion Sahith Theegala and this year’s champion Patton Kizzire. Guests were treated to a delightful cocktail reception, followed by the Chef’s Tasting Menu—a culinary masterpiece featuring seven exquisite courses, each perfectly paired with an impeccable selection of wines. It was a night filled with exceptional dining and unforgettable connections.
The following Thursday, September 12th, Costa Palmas showcased its golf expertise as Jimmy Arvanetes, Head Golf Pro, participated in the Procore Championship Official Pro-Am. This prestigious event marks the kickoff of the 2024 FedExCup Fall Season at Silverado Resort, running from September 9-15. Notably, Taylor Montgomery, a rising star in professional golf, participated with sponsorship from Costa Palmas, further cementing the connection between the resort and the Napa Valley community.
Net proceeds from the Procore Championship are designated to benefit various non-profit organizations through ITGFNV. The foundation focuses on supporting charities within the greater Napa Valley area, including Ole Health Foundation, Boys and Girls Clubs of Napa Valley, Cameron Champ Foundation, First Tee – North Coast, Queen of the Valley Foundation, Jameson Humane Rescue Ranch, Napa Valley Community Foundation, Youth on Course, and Travis Air Force Base Reserves.
