A Year in Retrospect: 2024 at Costa Palmas

2024 unfolded as a mosaic of remarkable experiences, vibrant events, and unforgettable moments at Costa Palmas. As we continue to grow as a community, bringing new adventures, neighborhoods, and experiences to life, the year’s highlights reflect our dedication to creating extraordinary memories and celebrating the unparalleled beauty of the East Cape.

Yachting World

This year saw exciting new developments at the Costa Palmas Yacht Club. Our Sailing School launched, providing young members – ages 8–16-, with top-tier instruction on six new RS Tera boats. With guidance from certified instructors, students mastered sailing fundamentals while enjoying the tranquil beauty of the Sea of Cortez.

The inaugural Yacht Rendezvous brought together seven yachts and 70 adventurous members for a journey filled with blue skies, playful breezes, and lasting memories at a secret location. The event featured a secluded beach gathering with tents, a beachside barbecue by Chef Gonzo, and plenty of fun.

A classic favorite, the 28th Annual East Cape Offshore Fishing tournament energized the Costa Palmas Marina. Members participated aboard the 72-foot yacht, Reels N Dirt, while the Costa Palmas Yacht Club ensured exceptional service and seamless coordination throughout the event.

Costa Palmas on the Road

In 2024, we took the Costa Palmas spirit abroad, hosting and participating in renowned events to bring the East Cape experience to a wider audience.

At the Newport Beach International Boat Show, Costa Palmas showcased luxury hospitality aboard the 130-foot yacht Serengeti, complete with cocktails, appetizers, and a Clase Azul tequila tasting.

In Dallas, Vancouver, Los Angeles, and Napa, we hosted exclusive gatherings, culminating in a dinner at Napa’s French Laundry, led by Chef Thomas Keller during the annual PGA TOUR tournament. Costa Palmas also supported the Impact Through Golf Foundation, aligning golf with meaningful philanthropy.

Stories of the East Cape

This year, we launched the second issue of the Costa Palmas magazine, celebrating the unique beauty of the East Cape. Highlights included: A 3-day hike to Picacho, the highest peak in the Sierra de la Laguna mountains; a day trip to the historic mining town of El Triunfo, and Surfing adventures with pro surfer Matt Lindsay, exploring his favorite local spots.

Construction Highlights

2024 marked significant progress in construction at Costa Palmas, with milestones including the delivery of Marina Peninsula units, with Marina Villas and Beachfront Yacht Villas continuing to take shape. Ongoing construction of Amanvari, bringing the dream closer to reality.

Looking Ahead

As featured in The Wall Street Journal and recognized by Bloomberg as one of the top 25 destinations to visit in 2025, Costa Palmas continues to captivate luxury travelers seeking a sanctuary on the East Cape. The year ahead promises to be extraordinary: the near completion of Amanvari; the start of construction on Casa Blake; Delphine’s second season; the second Yacht Rendezvous; La Batalla and La Carrera, featuring exciting programming on and off the golf course; the inaugural chef’s table event with Chef Ludo and Nancy Silverton; and fireside chats, among other highlights.
